THERES A MAGNET ON THE FLEX PLATE(FLYWHEEL) AND A SENSOR JUST IN FRONT (LOOKS LIKE A SMALL SPARKPLUG WITH A PIGTAIL) MAY BE MOUNTED INSIDE THE TIMING COVER(NIGHTMARE) GET AN EXPLODED VIEW OF ENGINE WITH SENSORS MARKED.

Where can i find the crank position sensor on my jetta 1997, to be replace


The crank sensor on the 2.0 litre engine is located on the bottom corner of the engine block, drivers side. It is mounted with a 10mm bolt. From the front of the car facing the engine, it will be on the right hand side....I hope this helps.

Where is the cam sensor located on a 99 pontiac grand am 2.4 litre? also where is the crank sensor located?


They are located as follows: the cam sensor on the 2.4 engine is mounted on the side of the front camshaft, right next to the fuel rail you will see the wires following to it and the crank sensor is located right above the oil filter on the engine. Hope this helps

Hello Dixie...Nissan used a crank angle sensor on the 2.4 litre in 1999. It is located inside the distributor.

You will have a no start or stalls after engine gets hot and then cools down restarts, the sensor is on the front of the engine mounted into the cam gear cover if it is not visiable get under the, (here is a picture) car and look.d37e0b9.jpg

5 volts is correct. Those sensors work off of a 5 volt reference signal.
