Open the door, remove all screws to liner, then after all the screws are out, gently pry the liner off to gain access to the inside of the rear hatch. Check with a voltmeter the power going to the arm with the switch on. If no power, then check fuse or relay. If there is power, then likely the wiper motor is bad.

Problems with the front and rear windshild wipers

If you remove the rectangular plastic cover off your windshield wiper motor, you will find a circuit board. Take it out and throw it away, and get a new one. I had to do that to mine this past winter. My buddy, after taking his truck to GM and giving them 300 bucks, got me to change his, and the problem was gone. The board is 20 or 30 dollars.

You might have a stripped wiper arm spline. Check it by seeing if it moves with your hand. Also check wiper arm connection under the black plastic unscrew and remove black plastic.
