'96 Tacoma electrical problem

Hi,

I bought a used 1996 Tacoma 4x4 this summer after owning a '88 Ford
Ranger for 9 years. Let me say that from day '1' my NEW Ranger gave
me nothing but trouble! Anyway, I have a small, but annoying problem
with the electrical system in the Tacoma. The light behind my
temperature control panel (AC/Heat) keeps flickering on and off. I
suspect a lose bulb or wire. How can I get to it, I hope easily, to
check it out without having to take it to a garage and spend big bucks
for them to tear the whole panel off?

Secondly, I've been looking on the net and in book stores for a repair
manual, so far with not much luck. Any recommendations? Thanks.

Pop off the 4 knobs, then with a small screwdriver, reach in the temp
slot and kinda pull out, then you'll have to remove the lennse for the
light, I'd recommend getting a new bulb before going into this!

I'd recommend a factory manual, they dont leave out anything, a bit
pricey!
