Problem for GMC 1994 Suburban
95 GMC hesitation

I have a problem with my truck hesitating when you give it more throttle
at 1500 rpm. It only happens once the engine reaches operating temp and
when you are in overdrive. I've checked the throttle position sensor with
an ohm meter, I have no codes, injectors are clean, can't find any
indication of vacuum leaks.. I have upgraded to a Jacobs Mileage Master
Ignition with cap, rotor, wires and plugs and the K&N filter is clean.
I've also tried disabling the Jacobs and running stock ignition, but no
differencehelpbrian

- i have the same problem i have replaced everything from dist cap rotor wires plugs coil and rebulit the tbi and still does the same thingfrom above idle to 1500 rpm
i have paid 700 bucks so far and no help please tell me whatt to do- 1993 bus

- I HAVE A 96 7.4 2 WHEEL DRIVE SUBURBAN...WHEN I START THE VEHICLE IT RUNS LIKE A CHAMP... - My 1999 GMC Savannah will acccelerate in park or neutral, but when you put in it drive and rev it nothing happens, it just sits at an idle. Sometimes it would be driving fine and then would suddenly loose acceleration, then it would spit and sputter some and take off again. My mechanic had it for over 5 months, it drove fine long enough to get it home, now it won't go anywhere again.Any ideas?- squirt7Jul 14, 2008
- just above idle as i try to pull out onto road, motor seems to die and sometimes backfires through tbi them just comes to life like nothing happend unless i roll into throttle then i does fine.plus since this started ive gone from 13-14mpg to 9-10.5mpg- GuestBest Solution

I have the exact same problem with 1994 Suburban (1500). I have replaced the
Throttle position sensor, oxygen sensor, battry and fuel filter so far. The
problem still presists and I am thinking about taking it to a dealer for
diagnostics. I will let you know if I find anything. Please let me know if you
find anything.

My 94 GMC sierra had serious hesitation, and I replaced almost every ignition component possible, what I found was that my E.G.R (emissons control) had malfunctioned. This was caused by a bad vacuum in my case, but could vary in others. It was an easy fix, Hope this helps.
