This requires troubleshooting. You would need to test for voltage at the fan connector with a test light. If you have a test light, test the connector. If the light comes on, the fan is bad. If the light doesn't come on, the fan 2 relay is bad. If you don't have a test light, you can buy one at the auto parts store for a few dollars. If you have more questions, please let us know.

sorry but I forgot to mention that the engine must be on and hot for this procedure to work. There is another procedure that may be easier. If you can take the fan off and wire it to the battery, you can see if the fan is good or bad. If the fan is good then replace the relay for fan #2.

My 97 Acura 3.2 TL starts to overheat and I also notice that the air gets cold when the heater is on. But when I begin to drive after stopping, the temp. goes back to normal and the air gets back hot...

Possible thermostat but more likely fan belt is slipping when idling causing waterpump to slow or even stop spinning. Tighten or replace fan belt that runs over waterpump pulley

2000 Acura TL overheating at low speeds with A/C on

Before ordering or installing fans I would buy and change your Coolant Temperature Senor on top of the engine block. It plugs in to the ECU and tells the fan when to kick the fans on. If that does not work you also have a temperature on the bottom of the radiator, known as your fan switch.

Thermo valve broken, does this cause over heating?

if you mean "thermostat" valve .. then that can fail either open or closed . if it fails open then the engine will not reach normal operating temperatures .. if it fails closed then yes the engine will overheat .. another common failure is the radiator fan .. it only runs when the car is not moving .. as long as the car is moving then cooling air is available so the fan is not needed ... so if your car does not overheat when driven but overheats when stopped or idling then suspect the radiator fan or thermal switch (mounted on the radiator) .. that switch turns on the fan when the radiator gets so hot ... you can just listen for the fan when hot .. you should hear it .. .. if your car gets too hot while driving then suspect a bad thermostat or clogged radiator .. sometimes a bad water pump (broken implellers) will cause the trouble ..

Cooling fan for acura tl 2000 does not work

If you can locate the temperature switch, looks like a large bolt head with 2 wires on it, bridge the wires on it, and this should make the fan work. If the fan works then this switch is faulty. If the fan doesn't then it could be the fuse, or a broken wire.
The fan switch is either on the radiator or on the thermostat housing.
If you can get to it easy, short across with a screwdriver.

My 1996 acura tl overheats and cools down when i give it gas?

first check the radiator, fan clutch, water pump, and thermostat for proper operation.  this condition is also sometimes caused by an exhaust leak near the manifold, letting hot air into the intake.
