Its not that hard. The hardest part is getting to the small wires on top of the starter. Just take your time.

Truck doesnt start battery is good, cables are good. crossed the two connections on solniod and starter spins but dosnt engadge flywheel. is it my statrer and if so hoe can i get it to work one last time...

Teeth could be broken on overrunning clutch on starter. If you cant get the starter to engage you will not be able to get the engine turned over.

How do I change the starter in a 2000 Nissan?

you will have to remove the battery, the air intake assembly and air filter housing for access to the starter which goes into the flywheel on the transmission to the right of the motor when looking under hood from front of car. you will probably need a variety of extensions and a universal joint for your sockets will help reaching the mounting bolts easier.

2005 dodge neon--while car is going up grade all of a sudden she went dead--no sputter just dead---nothing happens when key is turned--no clicks...using a ohm meter i found the under the hood 30amp starter...

It could be a bad starter.
And a dead short within the starter would cause the fuses to blow as you mentioned.

I would pull the starter off, and take it into a local parts store to be tested.
If it does pass, you have taken that part of the problem out of the equation, and can begin looking for other causes.
