Question about 2000 Jeep Cherokee

1 Answer

After a drive of about an hour, while parked my 2000 Jeep Cherokee Spoirt sends newly added antifreeze (added by the serviceman after installing a new water pump) all over the road. Then when I drive home, after the car is turned off I will hear boiling sounds from the area of the reserve tank. These symptoms occurred shortly BEFORE my original water pump suddenly quit. Now with a new water pump, I am wondering why this is happening again. Help!

Check to make sure system is not clogging up, and check the thermostat, also there may be air trapped in coolant system.

I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, V-8. Yesterday, I was driving and it started overheating. Reserve and radiator were both full with antifreeze. We replaced the thermostat and still overheats. ...

check for blockages in the piping, this may be blocking the flow of the antifreeze.
Also check the coolant you are using it needs to be a 50-50 ratio of coolant and water in most cases. Please go by the manual.

My 2000 Jeep Cherokee has been overheating esp. when my air conditioner is on and im driving up any sort of hill. it also makes a squealing noise for a little bit when my air is on too. A few days ago it...

First when it's cool I'd replace the missing antifreeze. Then I'd have the Serpentine belt checked and/or replaced, while that's being done I'd have the pulleys, adjuster and waterpump checked.

The brake light switch is defective or out of adjustment. More than likely located on the brake pedal arm near the top.

What to do if antifrezee or water are runing in to the oil of jeep grand cherokee ,,????

If you accidentally poured antifreeze into the motor then change oil and filter immediately. If you discovered antifreeze in the oil then you have a serious internal engine problem that will require immediate diagnosis at a qualified shop or service center. Don't drive the Cherokee at all. Have it towed.

2000 jeep grand cherokee is leaking antifreeze

Have a shop pressure test the cooling system, this will make the leak easier to locate, if I have to guess I would go with a leaking water pump.

We have a 2002 Grand Jeep Cherokee Laredo and we live in LA. We have to refill the antifreeze a lot because the levels get to low. Why is that. Is it because we do a lot of driving?

No, driving a lot should not require topping off your antifreeze. When parked overnight is there any evidence under the jeep of a leak? If not, it could be a bad head gasket, which would cause antifreeze to leak into the engine where it isn't supposed to be. Check your oil dipstick, any evidence of white on it? That would mean you are getting coolant in with your oil.
