Question about 2001 Dodge Durango
The fan is probably cutting off because of a defective fan relay. f the fan motor is not starting at all, then problem is fan resistor. If cooling is generally poor, then the AC is probably low in freon. Check if there is cold air at the back of the vehicle. I If problem is restricted to the front compartment and the back is cooling, then it is not the thermostat. In that case the problem is expansion valve.
Ensure that we are talking about the AC blower fan, and not about the engine cooling fan here.
