Hi, it may not be the switch. there are 2 systems a battery for hazards and ignition for indicators both relies on each other. i do'nt know if you have seperated units for both. but this could be an EARTH problem too. gerry

I also have no hazzard lights .the problem started when my wife informed me we only had one headlight then on inspection I noticed that there were some fuses blown.all of a sudden many things worked that didnt before. i decided to have a look at the cigarete lighter as there was no power there could not rectify . so i moved on to the hazzards when i pushed the switch in and out a few times .all of asuddend the hassards worked for a few second then stopped afer that I had no indicators .i JUST ASSUMED that i had blown the indicator unit or a fuse .On inspection and replacement It was not either .I then decided test to see if there was any power to the relay .there was not .!!! I gave up then to refresh the head helllllllllp

Neighor has 1996 sentra i have 2001 altima his blinkers dont work but emergency flasher do all fuses relays and switch work tested by pluging them up in mine but go back into his and they dont work any...

i would think that it must be a wiring fault as you have done a thorough test of the components, has there been any work done on the vehicle which may have loosened a connector ?if not its going to be a labourious job of testing wiring from switch to the relay , as we know the wiring from relay is ok as emergency flashers work good luck

My turn signals won't come on at all?

check the fuse if good then turn on the hazard lights if they work then you probably need a turn signal flasher which is a separate flasher unit then the hazard one.it usually looks like the hazard one so with the hazards on and locate it then you will know what the signal flasher looks like and you will also know not to change the wrong flasher unit.the signal flasher is often located at or near the under dash fuse panel or somewhere in the dash you don`t say what type of car your talking about.

1994 ford thunderbird flashers work but blinkers do not

There are two possibilities:-- 1) The flasher relay or 2) The turn signal switch.
check flasher relay, but most likely the fault is the turn signal switch . ---------- The turn signal / hazard flasher relay is located behind the dash, right of the steering column. -------- Since the hazards do work this eliminates a faulty relay as both the hazards and turn signals use the same relay to function. This leads to either faulty wiring at the multifunction (turn signal) switch or a faulty switch itself. It is always a good idea to check the wiring before purchasing the switch.Starting at the switch its the lever. And the switch wiring gets connected to relay. Test it with a meter to see if it is getting power when it is supposed to (turned ON ). If it is then wiring is OK and switch is bad. If it's not getting power then there is a open circuit somewhere in between.so its the wiring problem. ------------ this will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

My turn signals have stopped working. I replaced a bulb, thinking that was the problem but they still dont work. I think it may be the actual turn signal switch (in the steering column) but was wondering...

The flasher relay is mounted in the main fuse panel under the dash, driver's side. Are the lights coming on at all, or is there nothing ? it is possible that you may have a bad ground wire to the signals. Do the emergency hazards work ( lighting up and flashing?)If so, then your ground is good and it could very well be the flasher. You should be able to switch the emergency flasher for the turn flasher for a test of the circuit. The flashers should be mounted side by side in the fuse panel - just exchange them and test. If so, keep the emergency flasher there and take the turn flasher in to replace. The parameters should be the same so you can just leave the E. flasher relay in place and out the turn flasher where the E. flasher was.

No brake lights or emergency flashers. Changed

Try adjusting the brake light switch on the brake pedal.

The flashers have a relay in the circuit, test it and see what you get . The flasher switch may be the culprit also. By pass the switch with a pair of jumper wires and see if flashers work.

MY HAZARD LIGHTS WORK BUT MY BLINKERS DONT

Try checking the fuse for the blinkers, if it's intact then you'll need changing the blinker switch arms on the steering wheel. Good Luck
