Wow, haven't seen one of those in years. I'm guessing headlight fuse or relay not working. check them.

On your model the headlight switch and turn signal switch are made together.
So I would say you probably need to replace the combo switch in the column which may require dismantling the steering column.

suggest a bad headlight switch on the steering may be shorted out.i suggest you disconnect the battery at night,to reduce fire hazard. if you park it in the garage, please, disconnect the positive cable on the battery,as the switch can catch fire, due to constant current to the switch.for more assistance on the removal of the turn signal switch, and headlight switch, please repost your question to as they are both on the same switch and also involves removing the steering wheel, and disconnecting the pigtail plug in at the bottom of the steering column and removing the turn signal switch on the steering column itself.but we are here to assist with step by step instructions. thank you for choosing!

2006 GMC Envoy low beam headlights dont work. All fuses, and bulb filements, are fine.

Hello, try to start by checking the headlight relay and headlight fuse. You also may want to check to make sure the bulbs aren't blown out. If those parts check out to be fine and in working order, you may need to replace the turn signal assembly in the steering column. This part controls the hi/low beams. This may sound crazy but, when GM wired their older trucks, they wired the headlights to go from the battery, to the hi/low beam switch, then to the headlight switch (to the left of the steering wheel) then out to the light bulbs. You can kind of test to see if this part is good by making a fist and (with your headlights on) gently hitting the plastic cover for your steering column that is right behind your actual steering wheel. This could cause your headlights to flicker on and off.

My nissan 200 sx headlight wont work have canged

Check fuses, Get a tester and see if you actually get power to the lights. If you do get power and the lights don't work anyway then it is likely the light switch located on the steering column( has blinker, and light switch together). common Nissan problem.

Lost low and high beams on 2001 silverado

fisrt of all you must determine if you are getting power to headlight switch. You'll need to pull to the dash panel out to get to the switch. Be careful to disable your air bags when working around the dash. With a test l;ight probe your connector on the back of the switch. You should have one battery powered wire . You probably do since you said your running lights work. Turn on your running lights only at fisrt. Probr the plug again. You should have power out on one terminal only. Then try your headlights, if you have power on the other terminals that didn't work with only running light, your switch should be fine. I'm betting that your problem is in your dimmer switch. I have repaired this problem many many times because of bad dimmers. Under the dash you will need to remove the plastic cover(typically held on with 7mm screws and push pin type connetors.). On the left side of your steering column there will be a switch with a single connector that has several wires in it. Look at the end closest to the steering wheel. You should see a rod about 3/16 diameter contacting one end of the switch. That's your dimmer switch.Carefully place a piece of masking tape on the rod to hold it in place. Unplug wire onnnector and then remove the two screws that hold it to the column.Look to see if there is any burnt wires/connectors there. If not probe the switch with your test light. Remember one power in and should have one power out on each beam. (possibly two on high beam for indicator) If no power out on any position of dimmer, it's bad replace it. If you do the problem is between the dimmer and he headlights.I doubt this is the case. When replacing your switch, make sure that you test the physical function of the switch before you install the cover etc. There is some room for adjustment where the screws mount it to the column. I've done this dozens of times and hope this helps you.

Everything relating to do with the wiring is in the steering column, if someone has cut the wires going into the column and taped them back together in order to pull the steering column out for service the wiring needs to be replaced. the good news is if that is your problem it will cost you no more that about 30 dollars to fix it, the bad news is you have to pull the column to replace it. I hope that shines some light on it for you.

Headlights Not Working, Brights and Turn Signals Work

This is cuased by the multifuntion switch that is located on the steering column. It is the swith with the headlight dimmers on it.

You just need to remove the steering column bezels and replace the multifunction switch.
