All the timing marks are clearly marked on the motor arrows/triangles. the pulleys are clearly marked with dots/small drill holes and some times they have factory paint marks.

    Before you take the engine covers off, line up the timing mark on the crank pulley and the plastic engine cover. If the cam mark does not line up, rotate the crank shaft one turn so all marks line up before removing belts.

2001 mitsubishi galant crankshaft position sensor


the camshaft position sensor is located behind the harmonice balancer remove balancer and timing cover once removed you will see it u will also have to remove the crank gear and timing belt be sure to reset the timing or mark the gears before removal hope this helps

I need to set the timing on a 94 2.4L soch Mitsubishi Galant ES


when you get the covers out. the camshafts have timming marks between tha two gears with arrows set at 45degrees between each set of gears the crankshaft has a slot mark which is about 35 deg off north
