Question about 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee

2 Answers

94 Jeep Grand Cherokee, Left rear window would go down but not up. Replaced wdw mtr and still would not go up. Tried to swi wires on swi but that didn't work either. Someone said the master swi is the problem. What seems to be normal on these things. The motor runs for down but not for up off of the switch.

Sounds like the contacs in the switch. if there is voltage for the down mode there has to be voltage for the up mode. can you remove the switch and replace it with another one that works, dont they just press down into the panell? Can you pry the sw out of its seat? try cleaning it with a rust neutralizeing spray! Lube the window channels too, with silicone spray!

Test if switch is the problem by jumping the conacts with a piece of wire, I have had the switch contacts to be the problem on older restorations

94 jeep grand cherokee / no windows work after security bypass done

No one would have any way of knowing what you did or why

And without a wiring diagram, you have no way to familiarize
yourself with the problem

94 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo: No power to left tail light

Traced the problem to the Lamp Outage Module located in the rear left quarter access panel behind the spare tire. Arcing had occurred on the left taillight line. Fortunately this part is readily available at your local Jeep recovery yard (none available in the U.S. from dealers). Recommend J& W Auto Wreckers in Antelope, CA (web site available). Massive number of Jeeps and fair prices. If you don't want to replace the LOM then you can join the two connectors that go into the LOM (LOM is optional) but you'll always show a lamp failure on your console.

Just bought my 94 jeep cherokee & the screen in the middle consol continues me beep and flash ''rear lamp failure''

the driver information center(DIC) is telling you one or more of your rear light bulbs has failed. it could be a tail light, stop light, center high mount stop light, turn signal or license plate light. have someone in the vehicle turn the lights on and hit the brakes and turn signals so you can see which one is burned out.

Rear drivers side back window on 94 jeep grand cherokee will go down but not up Problem

These are notorious for this failure: the window regulators are inherently weak and must be replaced when broken.
You can buy new regulator assemblies from most auto parts suppliers.
They are only moderately difficult to replace.

Nov. 94 Grand Cherokee Jeep no back brakes

I bet you still have air back there. If you didn't bleed the system after the master you need to do that. Bench bleeding a master doesn't always work. Also badly out of adjustment rear brakes can act the same way.
