Question about 2001 Jaguar XK-Series
Turn the front wheels all the way to the right to replace the left
light. There is a cover at the front of the wheel well. You have to remove the panel which is situated in front of the front
wheel, inside the wheel arch, this will give you access to the lower
bulb. Maybe found it easier to take the headlight unit out completely and
replace the bulbs on the bench. To remove the unit you undo the two
screws on the top of the light and loosen the screw through the panel in
the wheel arch and the headlight will slide forward and out.
To take off the bulbs, after to remove the cover, there is a "cap" that is basically the back of the headlight. Unscrew the cap... you are at the back of the bulb. It is held in place by a metal retaining clip. Remove the retaining clip, unplug the bulb, replace the bulb, replace the retaining clip, screw the cap back on and replace the wheel well cover.
Hope this helps.
