sometimes when I get in and insert key to start vehicle, nothing will happen, but if I then take key out and wait a full 2 minutes, reinsert key it will start. I thought it might be some sort of security issue. or is it mechanical?

Hi,

As such there is no security ' Fuse ' on this model. I would appreciate if you could explain the problem in detail.

Thanks!!

    Thanks for your response!!

This seems to be some other problem. This is neither mechanical nor security. If this would have been security, you won't been able to ON the car after reinserting it.

Do you see check engine light being ON?

    Any driveability issues?

    Thanks!!

Grand prix no start

Try locating and reading the fuse box to discover which fuse is for the security system. Pull the fuse for the security system. Good luck.
