Thats insane. What are they doing, changing the engine? Service should be changing fluids and checking it over. Best try somewhere else. If it's for warranty, any certified shop can do it.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Should Honda Amanzimtoti be liable for the 60,000 km service on my Hyundai I10.

Depends on the laws in your country. In the US it would not be covered as it is routine maintenance and you should have negotiated that at the time of purchase since it was so close to being due.

2011 mini cooper countryman, starts, runs, drives but has low power.(50 mph ) max Due for service in 1200 miles.

The only way to correctly diagnose what is going on is to have a diagnostic scan done, sounds like the pcm has gone into 'limp home' mode which restricts power to prevent damage to the powertrain

The new timing belt jumped

no it is not. (late answer) is this a double post?

all timing belts jump,
1: every 60k miles for most. ever read the service list.
some top quality belts go bad at 100k miles. so.....????

Honda uses an "interference" engine design.
do not skip this service, or the whole engine can grenade !!!
honda quote, pasted.
However, since these engines utilize an interference design, it is highly recommended to at least inspect the timing belt at 60,000 mile (96,000 km) intervals. It is an even better idea to replace the belt at these intervals. On 1990-94 models, Honda recommends the timing belt to be replaced at 90,000 mile (144,000 km) intervals. On 1995 models, the recommended interval is 60,000 miles (96,000 km).end quote.

and if the last guy put in a POS china belt, well, you are hosed.
no name belts are junk, never ever use one,
BTW i run Gates belts.

We just bought a 2006 Highlander with 60,000 miles +/- Need to know what should have been done as far as reg. maintanace, nothing seems to be wrong in fact we have no inmidiate concerns, but would like to...

There is not a lot due at 60,000 miles as far as regular maintenance. Depending on which engine you have, a timing belt replacement is due at 90,000 miles. (The 2.4L engine is chain-driven) Spark plug replacements are not due until 80,000 miles.

In the meantime, I would have the condition of the engine coolant checked. It should be checked for the freeze protection level as well as the acidity level. Chemical test strips are available at your local parts store for this purpose.

All fluids should be checked for proper levels inlcluding differentials and transfer cases if it is a 4X4. Check and fix any fluid leaks right away. Fluid leaks can lead to rapid deterioration of rubber mounts and hoses as well as damage wiring harnesses and computer sensors.

If the battery is original it should probably be replaced due to the age of the vehicle. If it is not original I would have it tested. Remember NOTHING works on your vehicle without the battery.

You need to do the trans fluid and power steering every 30,000 miles on all vehicles. Forget what they say
I used to own a trans shop.
Flush Brake fluid every two years
Coolant every three
Spark Plugs at 60,000 miles
Fuel Filter 30,000 miles.

I would stay far away from the dealer
Go to a local shop

service engine soon is a driver/owner reminder, check your engine oil or rest it after changing to 100%, if you have the owners guide book, read it and follow the maintenance procedure to avoid severe damage to your car

When should i change the timing belt? i'm currently at 62,000 miles.

The belt should be changed at 60,000 miles, I suggest u attend to this right away like yesterday, if the belt breaks on this engine it will damage the valves and possible the piston crowns, it is what is known as an interference engine design

Looking at a '95 Subaru Impreza LX

you guessed it right at 60,000 miles there is a major service due. The service consists of flushing all fluids, tire rotation, and a complete tune up with a top end clean, and a fuel injection clean. Apptox $350 to $400.

You should have had the transmission fluid changed at 30, 000 miles, and you should have the transmission flushed at 60,000.
Change the timing belt at 90, 000 miles (if you have a V-6).
Change the air filter every 15,000 miles.
Check the spark plug condition at 60,000, and change the coolant at 60,000.
