Try to jump start your car and disconnect negative battery terminal if the car dies your alternator probably is bad. take it off the car and bring your alt. to autozone for a free test. by the way it would help to know year and model and year. have a good day.
p.s check your brake fluid level

Hi Thomas, Sounds to me as if whoever fitted your remote has interrupted and interfered with the ABS system. Have it seen to urgently. regards John

ABS and brake light will not go out sometimes when you start the truck. Then again you start it and all lights act properly.

hello tra.... these two issues are related. The ABS sensors often go bad as the vehicle ages. Once the lights start acting up the failure of the ABS is not generally far behind. The only bright light there is that the only function of ABS is the autopumping of the brakes. Once that goes, you still have brakes, you just have to manually pump them when on icy or wet roads.

The cost of replacing these ABS sensors, and ultimately the ABS system is generally cost prohibitive. Joe

No power, car dies, whenn turnn igntion here clicking sumtimes hear nuthing. brake lightturns on and dims abs light comes on at times turns off , i have a faulty alrm switch that i have to bypass cause...

This sounds like a weak or dead battery due to a bad alternator, i would start by having the battery and the charging system checked, i think you will find the battery is low or maybe no good or the alternator is not charging the battery.

About a week ago, having switched on and set off, all the brake warning lights stayed on, that is the ABS, TCS, TCS OFF and Brake System Warning lights. The brakes continued to work OK with no extra travel...

abs=anti-lock brake system/ tcs=traction control system ==sounds like you have a problem with ur abs possible bad sensor or a wiring connection problem when abs shuts down [trouble light] your brakes will work normal but if u stomp or brake hard the brakes will lock up skid and the tcs doesnt affect brakes but if u accelerate hard tires will spin lose traction check the wiring and connections to the sensors sometimes debris hits the wire and loosens the connection if looks ok and light is on have car scanned for the trouble code most auto stores such as auto zone/advanced auto offer this service for free the code will what and where the problem is so repair can be made

Car won't start. Clicking sound and abs brake

check battery voltage, this clicking is usually caused by insufficient voltage to the starter. You can bring the battery to autozone and they can test it for free!!

Brake, ABS,STC,CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS ON.

I had the same problem which was diagnosed incorrectly 3 times
Could be one of 2 things you may want to check
Have a tech read your codes
Have the ABS Control Module checked by a technician. If that is ok then make sure they look at the altenator
In my case, I was getting voltage spikes that were shorting out system controls -the ABS Control Module and the battery, etc. Once they put in a new altenator, the problem was fixed.

When you brake and the van is near a complete stop the brakes let go a little then kick in hard. Sounds almost like when you start the vehicle and the ABS light goes out

As I already knew one of my rear wheel bearings was going, ie lots of noise above 60km, vehicle has 250K KMs, I read my service manual and it indicated most probable one of the bearings reading zero under 5 KM per hr causing full pressure by the ABS to be exerted on the rear brakes. Works fine with the ABS cct breaker pulled. Solid brakes with ABS above 5 km/hr. No ABS light on, do not have an ABS code reader only the basic GM code reader. Vehicle is 1992. Thanks Anyway
