Where to find the turn signal flasher?

Unfortunately Nissan in it's infinite wisdom decided that it should tie the turn signal flasher and hazard flasher which are useally combined but on an independant circuitwhich only made the front and rear turn signal lights flash as well as the indicator lights in your dash telling you which direction you had selected. They were in no way related to any other circuits, have incorporated these into the body control module. Consequently if you don't have a flasher, you have to buy a body control module. First try operating the hazard flasher mode. It will work even if there ar some bulbs blown. If you have one blown bulb a flasher may operate slower on that side or not at all depending on it's design. Try the other direction if it doesn't work in that direction either, it's probably the flasher or in this case body control module.

2008 nissan altima shut down suddenly getting on engine wont even crank over and engine fans turn on when acc switch is on

When you turn on your AC, it overrides the fan programming. Its supposed to come on every time you turn your AC on. That is working properly.
Without looking under your hood, with my tools, I cannot even begin to list all the reasons why your engine will not turn over, other than an electrical issue.
Could be as simple as a blown fuse, could be total computer failier.
Too many variables.
I would go to a licensed mechanic for help.

Good Luck.

Cant engage gear when brake is depressed

Many vehicles are equipped with a safety to prevent shifting the vehicle out of park without stepping on the brake.

Check to see that the brake lights come on when the brake pedal is despressed. This should verify the proper position of the brake light switch under the dash - that is released when the pedal is operated - and the brake circuit itself. This is part of the safety circuit mentioned above.

If the brake lights do not come on, look for an open / blown fuse in the fuse box. Consult your manual for the location of the fuse and fuse box(es) and replace with the appropriate size fuse. If it is not blown, check the rest of the fuses and replace any found to be open or blown.

Good luck!

Our 1997 SL@ wipers are coming on without them being turned on and sometimes the washer sprays and sometimes it doesn't even though the washer fluid is full. The fuse seems ok. Any ideas

wiper switch? play with it and see if you can get it to act up. if they are off, just jiggle the switch without actually turning them on, if they start wiping, replace the switch. If a fuse was blown, they would never work.

Heat not work

First, check your engine coolant(antifreeze). If you are out there will be none circulating through your heater core.

Second, when you attempt to turn it on is there any air being blown into the cab of the vehicle? If not check the fuses for the blower motor. If these are functioning properly next check the electrical connection to the blower motor itself. If these are fine and properly attached check to see (using a voltmeter) if there is power at these connections. If not you may have an electrical issue, if so you may need a new blower motor.

If air of any temperature is blowing into the cab when you switch it on then you need to look to your heating/cooling system. While driving is your temperature gauge reading that your vehicle reaches and maintains normal operating temperature? You may have a block or leak within your system, maybe even the heater core itself. You may also wish to take a look at your thermostat. If this is not functioning properly it may also impede your vehicle's ability to operate properly.

My power windows stopped working

The power window system operates electric motors, mounted in the doors, which lower and raise the windows. The system consist of the conrol switches, the motors, regulators, glas mechanism and associated wirring.
Perform checks
1. Check fuses for proper operations, blown fuse can cause windows to stop operating.
2.Check with voltage meter your power windo switches.
3.Each motor is equiped with an internal circuit breaker, this prevents one stuck window from disabling the whole system.
4.The power windows will only operate when ignition key is ON. In addition, manu models have a window lock out switch at the master control switch which, when activated, disables the switches at the passenger's windows. Always check these items before troubleshooting a window problem
5. These procedures are general in nature, so if you can;t find the problem using them, take vehicle to the dealer service department or other properly equipped repair facility.
6. If windows wont operate always check the fuses and circuit breaker first.

Heater blower doesnt work on 2005 chrysler 300

Locate the fuse pannel and check for blown fuse...If fuse not blown - check fan control relay for proper operation - If thats not the problem check for voltage at the switch.
