Question about Honda Odyssey

1 Answer

I have a 2005 honda odyssey EX-L and several of the dash board backlights are out. For instance, the drive shifter does not illuminate the P-2 lights at night. One of the heated seat buttons does not light up at night. Several of the backlights for the control panel (temperature controls) are also not illuminating at night. I have checked all obvious fuses and do not find any burned out. I adjusted the dash lighting for brightness and it did not make a difference for the ones that are out. Are there light bulbs that can be replaced or anything else I can look for? It is actually annoying at night to not have some of those lit. Any ideas?

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

how about the switch of the bottom of the brake pedal ck there , might be a bad ground wire jump it out with one and see what happens , see if you are getting power to the red wire while the pedal is depressed in the back , if so your light sockest could be bad , but highly unlikly

The van sold in the US can be changed from English to French or Spanish. You may need to check with the dealer on a Japanese model.
The info for US vans is on page 108 in the owners manual. With the key on you hold the "info" button for 3 seconds and go into the Customize Entry option.
