This may work for your jeep. I encountered the same problem with my 1993 Grand Cherokee, and eventually learned to disable the alarm I had to take the keys and lock and unlock both front doors.

Battery died. Got it jumped. Why is VSC light flashing, check engine light is on, and gas pedal doesn't respond?

Borrow a battery charger. Disconnect the battery and fully charge it. Reconnect to a fully charged battery. This should reset the ECM. If not you need and engine code reader to check the error codes.

If you Google 'VSC light flashing' there are lots of Toyota owners who have had the same problems.

How do i reset the check engine light on a 91 cavalier

You can remove the codes (and turn off the check engine light) by simply removing the negative battery cable for a minute or two. Make sure the ignition key is off before you do.

Whatever fault that turned on the check engine light on, if it is still there, it will turn on the light again. Then you would want to retrieve the codes and see about repairing the fault. Post back if you need help on how to get the codes to flash out by the light.

Did you replace those parts based on the trouble code? Or are you just throwing parts at it? What are the codes?

How to reset check engine light?

Go to your local O'Rielly's or Autozone. They will tell you the code and reset it for free. Otherwise take the negative battery cable loose for about 10 min. This will clear the ECM, but you won't know what tripped the light! Best Wishes, TJ

Trying to get error codes

This is an OBD1 module located under the dash:
1st turn off the ignition.
2. Use a jumper wire between the ground terminal "A" top right and the diagnostic terminal "B" second from top right.
3. Turn the ignition to on but DO NOT START ENGINE.
The "Service engine light" soon will flash the code 12 - one flash followed by 2 short flashes. it will repeat then pause followed by yuor trouble codes flash.
Hope this helps

Replaced battery, then dash AC amber light flashes on/off.

You could do 2 things...have the codes read and reset at a parts store or try to take both wires off the battery and try to reset the codes.

Yes or a bad connecton like the posts to cable or cable connectors to cables, buy replacement battery connectors from parts store and replace them, when you check out the cables make sure there is no greenish blue tint on the cable, if there is clean it till you don't find anymore or replace the cable, with that year your chances of having a bad cable is pretty good.
