If you know it is the wobble on the balancer. Replace the balancer. Balancers that slip will cause vibration also.

Why is my bottom pulley wobbly an the cause of it

The harmonic balancer is a sttel ring attached to the center section with a compressed rubber sleve. When the rubber gets oil soaked it swells and starts to fail - wobble. This is amplified by the high tension of the sepentine belt. Fix for it - replace the harmonic balancer. Before it comes off leaving uou stranded

Hit a deer and it threw off my harmonic balancer.I got the harmonic balancer replaced. Week or so later the harmonic balancer started wobbling again and it will barely stay running

Depending on your speed at the time of the crash and the weight of the animal and the amount of driving that you did after the crash, the crank shaft bearings might be bad.

I am looking at a 1999 S10 4.6L truck. The harmonic balancer looks like it has a slight wobble and the tensioner pulley seems to jump a bit. This itruck has a new engine but the old balancer and tensioner....

due to the "bushing" built into a harmonic balancer they can at times wobble a little, as long as the pulley guides the belt in a straight path to the next pulley in line, however the tensioner shouldn't Jump,, does it spin freely when nothing is attached to it< it could be worn and as it heats up tightens up,, I'd replace it

Should there be a little wobble to the vibration damper at low rpm of ' 05 town & country?

no. there should not be any wobble to your harmonic balancer pulley! any wobble to the bottom pulley, means it's out of balance. either a belts too tight,or a harmonic balancer bolts loose. the other belts contribute to the wobble once it begins. check the tourque on the harmonic balancer bolt. it should be about 180 footlbs thank you for choosing

What are the symptoms of a failed harmonic balancer on a oldsmobile 03 bravada smart trak 2wd engine vortec 4200. The fan clutch is really wobbly where it connects to the harmonic balancer pulley

The fan clutch is connected to the water pump. The harmonic balancer is the crank pulley. If the fan clutch/pulley the fan clutch is attached to is sloppy than the water pump is bad.

My 2000 montana has a belt problem it keeps coming off track and getting ate up. Replaced the tensioner already. There seems to be a wobble at the pulley area. Do you think both harmonic balancer and crank...

Check all of the accessories that run off the belt. some may have loose or bent pulleys or the acessory itself may have come loose. Be careful to route the belt exactly as shown too. Tighten up or replace your wobbly pulleys.

Crankshaft pulley has the wobble not spinning in a even manner

Most likely the rubber part of the harmonic balancer has deteriorated causing the twin pulleys to separate. Tightening would not help if this is the case. A replacement would be needed.

Harmonic balancer problems 96 honda accord

Hello, I dont mean to be the bearer of bad news but I have had three of these cars to do the same exact thing. The harmonic balance loosened up and it wore the end of the crankshaft and the balancer would not tighten up any more. The best option is to replace the crankshaft and balancer. There is not a quick fix fix this. Sorry. Please rate my answer. Thank you.
