Engine stall continuously and have to keep the accelerator pumping and the brake light stays on until battery disconnected with both problem at same time

Check the fuel pressure and flow, if the flow is low replace the fuel filter, if the pressure is low, check the fuel rail pressure regulator , if ok replace the pump. The throttle position switch may also cause this fault. The brake pedal works the stop light switch on most systems, make sure the pedal engages the switch when the pedal is at rest. Some cars have a in line pressure stop light switch , replace this if faulty .

1989 f-250 inertia fuel shut-off switch switch location

This should be in the owner's manual. I found the below on autozone.com, their repair help location:
An inertia switch is used as a safety device in the fuel system. The inertia switch is located in the cab, generally under the dashboard on the right side. It is designed to open the fuel pump power circuit in the event of a collision. The switch is reset by pushing each of 2 buttons on the switch simultaneously (some models use switches with only one reset button). The inertia switch should not be reset until the fuel system has been inspected for damage or leaks.
When the ignition switch is ON , it turns the EEC power relay ON . The EEC power relay provides power to the powertrain control module (PCM) and the control side of the fuel pump relay. Power for the fuel pump(s) is supplied through a fuse link or high current fuse attached to the starter solenoid (battery side). From the fuse link or high current fuse, current flows through the fuel pump relay and inertia switch to the fuel pump(s). The fuel pump relay is controlled by the PCM.
When the ignition switch is turned ON , the fuel pump(s) will operate. If the ignition switch is not turned to the START position the PCM will shut the fuel pump(s) OFF after 1 second. The PCM will operate the fuel pump(s) operate the fuel pump(s) when the ignition switch is turn to START position to provide fuel while cranking.
After the engine starts, the PCM will continue to operate the fuel pump(s) unless the engine stops, drops below 120 rpm or the inertia switch is tripped.

1997 ford escort 55 van location of fuel cut off switch

Hi there:The fuel pump shut-off switch stops the fuel pump when the vehicle has been involved in a collision or major jolt. If the vehicle does not start, it is possible that the fuel pump shut-off switch needs to be reset.

If you see or smell fuel, do not reset the switch or try to start your vehicle. Have all passengers get out of the vehicle and call the local fire department or a towing service. This and other details could be find in the Ford Escort Owners Manual...

Need to locate fuel cut off switch on 95 pontiac firebird

I don't remember this vehicle having a cutoff switch. In that year most manufacturers that were installing cut off buttons were mounting them in or just behind the glove compartment. If the pump has stopped working check the fuses located inside and under the hood of the vehicle and check the fuel pump relay. If all are good it is most likely a bad fuel pump you will need to replace.

My 1994 ford tempo just stopped running in the middle of the road. checked fuel pump and replaced filter. was told about a reset switch. where is this and how do you use it? Anything else we can also...

If your fuel pump works, then the reset switch can't be the issue. Check for spark as well. You may find you don't have spark. If you have fuel and spark, then it probably needs a timing belt/chain.

Fuel pump dose not run 99 ford sable

there is also a trianary switch in the cargo area (trunk) make sure this swith has not poped up just push it down if you hear it click it was probably tripped. If it tripped it may need replaced. These switches were used by Ford for many years to stop the fuel pump from running in the event of a crash. Also have you checked the fuse or the relay these are the areas to start before pulling the tank

Fuel Cut off switch location

your owner manual will tell you.

here is for 96 tracer. don't have 89 but suspect same place in trunk.

In the event of a collision, the electrical contacts in the IFS switch open and the fuel pump (9350) automatically shuts off. The fuel pump will shut off even if the engine (6007) does not stop running. The engine, however, will stop a few seconds after the fuel pump stops. It is not possible to restart the engine until the IFS switch is manually reset. The IFS switch is located on the RH side of the luggage compartment. Access is gained through a hole in the luggage compartment back lower trim cover (40374).

To reset the IFS switch, depress the button on top of the IFS switch.
