I had that problem, and it turned out to be a clogged Fuel Filter. If you are
in California, the new gas appears to be "cleaning" the station tanks, and
transferring the garbage to our tanks. Mine got clogged in less than 20,000
miles

I unlpuged my EGR valve and the problem went away, so I changed the valve but has the same issue with the new EGR. It must be something that controls the EGR. ( I know this probably doesn't help).

I own an Automotive business and I own a 98 tahoe with 350 vortec in it and had the same problem at high speeds and if you pull it into D instead of over drive and its worst try unplug your EGR valve under the hood on the front of the engine to the left side of you air conditioner and I bet it will help it your check engine light will come on but see if that don't help it I did the same thing if it does you need an EGR, I had done put a 2 new fuel filters and a 300 dollar fuel pump didn't cure it before you waste your money try that. and If it still does it just a little bit I'm pretty sure its in your tranny. Ive seen that problem before. check the fuel filter. Could be a fuel pump issue too. If replacing the fuel filter doesn't help, you can check the fuel pressure. there is a port towards the rear of the engine where you can hook up a gauge. You need roughtly 60psi to pop the injectors. if you can't find the port you can also hook the gauge up at the fuel filter location. if it is a 4.3L cpfi engine then i would check all these things. these fuel systems have a high failure rate
