Car transmission leak

May need a new bushing in the pump that supports
the converter hub
The new or rebuilt converters don't have very good tolerance
on the hub,they run out
May have to take converter to a shop that does
their own rebuilds on converters, to have hub checked
for run out. They do much better work then say Daco
or other big names in the converter rebuild arena

Clutch will not engage

What year? What make? What model? If your vehicle is high mileage, I would suspect, in the absence of any particulars to the contrary, your clutch is due for repair.

A clutch overhaul will include a rebuilt pressure plate, a rebuilt clutch plate, resurfacing of your fly wheel and a new throw-out bearing and possibly the rebuilding of your 'slave' cylinder if so equipped. To gain access to these parts, it will be necessary to drop the drive shaft, unbolt and move the transmission toward the rear on a rear wheel drive vehicle. For a front wheel drive car, it will be necessary to remove the engine. Expect to pay at least $500.00 in the North American market for this repair. Your mechanic may tell you differently.

The procedures I described are general in nature in an effort to answer your question. Since you omitted the make and the model of the car, it is difficult to provide any more detail in this response.

Diesel fuel leak. looking for diagram of injector pump seals for replacement. the car is a 1982 jetta diesel with the bosch injector pump.

Get a professionally rebuilt pump. Don't try to mess with rebuilding yours, it isn't worth it. I know the rebuilt pumps are high ($450) plus, but it will pay off in reliability and performance.

it is best to remove the pwr st. pump and vaccum pump assy as a unit which is held to the front cover w/2 15mm head bolt and a support bracket on the bottom bolt next to the block @ the pwr st pump. and disconnect all lines. get the seal kit and replace them @ this time. if you don't and just replace the pump you will probably develop an oil leak where the shaft meshes w/ the adapter.

The powersteering in my 2006 Escape does not operate correctly.

you could have a hose that has a kink in it.or maybe trash in the line from filling the tank.take the hoses off and check to see if there is a blockage.this may help.

It could be the water or the hoses that go to the surge tank.
