I can't help your problem except my 92 had the double sided belt. Was there more than one belt for that year?? You will have a grooved idler for the 2 sided.

I have a 1993 Corvette LT-1 crate motor that I'm running in a non-Corvette application. I am using 1992 Corvette accessories and have encountered a problem getting the correct serpentine belt for this combination. If I use the double sided late 1993 belt it fits extremely tight and makes the tensioner practically useless. The single sided 1992 belt is too loose and the tensioner is useless. What's wrong here? Is there a difference in 92/93 harmonic balancer diameters? P/S, A/C, diameters? Or, maybe the idler and tensioner?
Any suggestions are appreciated as my local Chevrolet dealer (I live in a small town) is practically useless in trying to solve this problem!
Thanks, Jim
