Where is the fuel filter on 2007 Chevy colorado

It's under the truck on the frame rail just in front of the fuel tank.
If your truck hasn't been lowered you should be able to slide under to get to it; if you happen to know someone with a lift you can use it's a lot easier. It's a fairly dirty job, but not too hard.

I have a 2006 Chevy Colorado..Check engine light on and code 171 came up. Oxygen sensor replaced as was gas cap..Still on..What else needs repairing to fix this??

Trouble Code: P0171

Fuel Trim Too Lean

Possible Causes:

The current cell can be observed using a scan tool. The system will go lean if an injector is not providing enough fuel.A lean condition could be present during high fuel demand due to a fuel pump not pumping enough fuel, plugged fuel filter or a restricted fuel line.Insufficient fuel in the tank or low fuel pressure may cause this DTC to set. Refer to Fuel System Diagnosis .Review the Failure Records with a scan tool. If an intermittent condition is suspected, refer to Intermittent Conditions .

Have a 2005 chevy colorado, ran it out of gas and now after fueling it it won't start. when you turn the key i don't hear the fuel pump. is there a fuse or a switch to push to reset it?

I would start by replacing the fuel filter. And if that doesn't work ? listen for the fuel pump when you turn the key on. If you don't hear the fuel pump go on when the ignition is set to on (Just before turing the engine over) ? Check the relay or the fuse. Its not ever a good idea to run any vehicle low on fuel. Could cause a number of problems. but it sounds like fuel filter got clogged and sucked up all the junk at the bottom of the tank.

The fuel filter on my 2004 Colorado is located in front of the fuel tank just behind the divers side of the vehicle. It is inside of a plastic support and is not easy to see.

Hope this helps.

My husband drives a 2007-2008 Chevy Colorado as a work vehicle. Sometimes when he accelerates the vehicle will stall out, his work has had it in to the shop and ran a scan on it and it said nothing is...

Get the fuel pressure checked. If the fuel pressure checks out low, then its a fuel pump and clogged fuel filter related problem. If fuel pressure checks out ok then get the spark plug to coil pack voltage as well as connection checked. This will help to start the troubleshooting.

How do you change a gas filter on a 2004 Chevy Colorado

There is a plastic clip on each side of the filter, inside the fuel lines. You'll need to squeeze the clip towards each other and pull off the line.
