1990Z24 starting problem

The car will only start by being kick started.
After kick starting the car you can restart it with
the key as long as the car is warm. After the car cools
down you must kick start it again. It's a 1990 Cavalier
Z24 with a 3.1 engine and a 5 speed trans. Any help would
be greatly appreciated.

- 1990 6 cly chevy lumina will only start with a boost. once boosted will run as long as it is not turned off for a while .....starter or fuel?- Guest

all too often this happened and i blame GM a larger guage cable to the starter and a better quality starter should have been installed. Have your starter serviced it will only get worse untill one day-NOTHING-
