Question about 2004 GMC Envoy

I unplugged my fan blade clutch on my 2004 Envoy because when turning on the heat or a/c truck would shut off. Now that fall is approaching, i need to get to the root of the problem. Is it the Fan Blade Clutch or something else? Thermostat? Coolant Temp sensor? Please help!!

The throttle body needs to be cleaned, grime in this area prevents the throttle plate from closing completely and allowing air to enter, making the air/fuel mixture lean.
Keeping the fan clutch from working can lead to overheating conditions and it will set your check engine light.

2004 gmc envoy. has a 6cyl and a serp belt. the center pully off set to the left (i think its a water pump) has a bad wobble and making a horrible noise. Not over heating and no leaks. should i just change...

If the fan is attached to it than it is the water pump making the noise and it will need to be replaced. If the fan clutch is not attached to it than it is either the idler pulley or the tensioner pulley. The tensioner is on the passenger side (left) of the front of the motor.

I had a computer check on my 2004 envoy it reads fan switch failure what is a fan switch and what is it for

You probably mean fan clutch, the fan clutch is a electrically controlled device that regulates the rotational speed of the cooling fan. A failure of the fan clutch will set the check engine light.

Keeps overheating, have already put a new water pump and thermostat, both cooling fans work. Can not figure out the problem?

How old is the radiator? It may be clogged and not allowing coolant to flow thru, causing your overheating. You may also check the clutch on the fan. It is an aluminum round disk with fins molded into it and is located directly behind the fan blades. This clutch is heat sensitive and do fail overtime. When they fail, the fan does not turn at a proper revolution while the engine is runiing. These are just two areas that you may want to approach, and I am assuming the engine full with coolant.

2004 gmc envoy engine tapping sound, it has plenty of water/antifreeze, and plenty of oil.

We have the same tapping sound on our 2003 Envoy six cylinder engine. I believe the sound is coming from the radiator fan clutch assembly. When the engine reaches its operating temperature and the fan clutch engages, the tapping sound goes away.
