1996pontiac sunfire2.4motor no compression number 2 cylnder

more than likely is a burnt./bent valve. I would remove the head as sometimes the seat insert becomes loose and results in head work to fix. No compression can also mean broken rings or scored bore so the head will have to come off to determine exactly what happened .

3.5l engine, car shakes runs ruff, changed plugs, shaking lessened and car runs slightly better. took to auto zone had tested code P0344 possible problems cam sensor defective, timingbelt/out of...

the chances are good for the number 5 coil needing replacement, but before i did anything else i would change that cam sensor, that could be causing your problem all the way around.. hope this helps... setting timing is a big drawn out job, i dont think you will need to do that, timing shouldnt be out.

Clutch problems .I have to pump my clutch for 15 minutes to get it to shift into gear when car is running. What is the problem

this is due to air in the clutch system, or a low fluid level. bleed some new clutch fluid through. It may be caused by a leaking seal, so check for leaks at the clutch master cylnder and slave cylnder. the master cylnder seal sometimes leaks down the firewall inside the car. Replacement cylnders ar an easier option than replacing just the seals

you may try your rotor button and distributor cap. and spark plug wires. try your map sensor also they tend to cause a lot of misfiring if they go bad.hope this helps.

Hi all, my 99 sub.350,300k,missfire #2

Have you checked the distr cap for cracks??

If plug is oily looking on brand new plug I would suspect worn rings, which would also explain the high PSI. (Motor job in the wind) Especially for 300K.

you either have a bad key...did you try more than one key?
Two other things can be wrong..
1) the igintion cylnder (where ya put the key in) has samll wires that sense the pellet in the keys for your car, and often they break, and the cylnder has to be replaced.
2) the passkey module has gone bad.
Either of these problems can be fixed by any compatent mechanic that has cadillac experience.
