Can't figure out how to open the housing for the engine air filter on a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Do you see steel clips or screws holding the top cover on the air filter box? there should be a big hose and 2 smaller ones on the top to remove,if you cant open the lid far enough to replace the filter! It may be a flat type filter.

so if you have that. then this is the part (note 2 kinds)

many car the filter is accessed by removing glove box door.

the FSM cover this.

It is under the passenger side cowl grill. Remove the passenger side windshield wiper, remove the cowl, remove filter and housing. Install new filter and housing in reverse order.

Ideally yo should tart by looking at the error codes - they will give you a much more accurate indication of what is wrong. You can check the wiring - this is usually caused by an unplugged sensor, the fuel pressure - clogged filter or injectors, sparkplugs - aged and misfiring, air filter - clogged.

spark plugs, new spark plug wires, fuel filter, air filter those are the critical parts. suggest that if you change the fuel filter yourself to get a chilton's auto repair manual for detailed information on the procedures

Where is the oil pressure sending unit on a 1993 jeep grand

on the 4.0 motor Under hood, passenger side, lower engine area, rear of distributor, mounted in engine block.
on the v8 Under hood, center, rear engine area, passenger side of distributor, mounted in block.

Where is the oil pressure switch llocated on 2003 Jeep Grand cherokee

On the 4.0L they put it on the passenger side rear of the engine. On the 4.7L they put ot on the lower left drivers side above the oil filter.

Having trouble keeping my 98 jeep grand cherokee running

i recommend cleaning the throttle plates. they are located unter the intake hose form the engine to the air filter housing. if you open them with the engine not runniong you will see they will be covered in carbon. use a good carb cleaner and a rag to wipe them clean
