I am not sure this will work on a landcruiser. I have never worked on one. I had a friend who had a car with no door handles just electric latches. He left his lights on one day and could not get in. We jacked the car up, put stands under it, and hooked a booster pack to the starter and a good body ground. This supplied the car with enough power to open the doors so we could jump the thing and get the battery back up.

hi, thats the problem with car batteries these days they have to supply so much power for the car / truck. the modern car has too much electrical items. the starter motor takes 500 amp out to start with, then if the wippers are ON and the heater motor. start stop start stop. the battery suffers and may not recoop its charge

Try hooking up a battery charger to the battery cable on the starter relay, and ground the negitive lead to the starter frame. After 5 or 10 minutes try to unlock the doors, with the keyless intry!

Our battery is dead on our 2004 Toyota Sienna, now our key wont manually open the doors

You will have to open the hood to jump start or change battery. There are two ways to open the hood, both involve the hood latch/locking mechinism. First thing you must find a way to do, is to access the hood latch with your hands. You may have to get under the car, or maybe remove the grill to be able to get to it. Try to pull the hood release cable with your fingers or with some pliers. If this proves too hard to do, try to use a strong stick or rod and try to get the latch to release that way, moving the release the same way the cable pulls it. Another option is to access the screws that hold the latch on to the car, remove the bolts and lift hood, latch and all up. Then replace the latch/lock when you get your battery fixed. If you decide to lift hood, latch and all up by removing the bolts/screws, watch out and don't break your cable, just lift the hood enough to seperate the latch from the hood.

Put a battery charger on the starter cable from
under the car & ground the black charger lead
That will charge it enough to open the door & hood
Thought every car has at least one key cylinder on

98 SL500 dead battery. Can't open trunk to get to

Hi Your S class has two batteries. The smaller one is located in the engine bay, and the bigger one in the boot (trunk). No need to access any of them, simply open the door with key, insert key to start engine, you will notice that not all ignition lights will come on, but the engine WILL start, and the batteries will be recharged after a short while.

Car seems to be dead, no internal sensors flashing and keyless entry and manual key won't let me in car.

Check to ensure that the battery just doesn't need a jump start, manually open the door and pop the hood and have someone jump start your battery, if it is the original then just replace it.

Need to open trunk, battery dead and no mechanical key. 2001 Mercedes S-class.

I am hoping you don't have the doors locked.
Open the hood and there will be a HOT point (jump station) under the hood. It will usually be housed in red plastic. Jump start it there and all should be a go from there.
Good luck!
