If the car has been standing for awhile and the friction plate is stuck to the flywheel get a friends ute and tow it in top gear (4th)it will free off in seconds.....be ready for a sudden j..k.he only needs to pull it about 10 foot.make sure the key is in the "run"possition....with your foot hovering over the brake pedal.

Hydraulic clutch is not disengaging, when put into 1st gear the engine conks out. Replaced the master cylinder and bled the line - still conks out. Do I need too replace the slave cylinder or what?

as per your description problem not clutch since able to start in gear and drive without stall problem sounds more like a fuel delivery not the clutch

I installed a complete clutch & Flywheel. I popped outta 1st gear & won't go into any gear whatsoever. Linkage & slave cylinder work! feels like it's going into gear but when i let clutch out nothing

Isolate the problem. Sound like clutch is stuck and not disengaging. Engine off put in gear and rock the vehicle,, with help from a friend press clutch pedal while in gear and have friend push, you will know if the tranny is ok and clutch is stuck. Now check the clutch, slave etc for engagment and disengagment / Clutch linkage- movement/travel may need adjustment or you have something wrong in the reassembly..

Cluch operatng shaft leaver chage vw

are you refering to the clutch fork that connects to the other end of the clutch cable, you will have to drop the gear box as this fork sits over the clutch pressure plate ,and pushes the thrust bearing against the pressure plate tynes so disengages the drive from engine to gearbox, while you've got the box out check the condition of the clutch parts ie thrust bearing, pressure plate spring's,friction plate condition

Clutch pedal solid on siat inca 02 sdi van

It is a good thing to have a Solid Pedal or are you saying it is not able to disengage the Clutch?

Clutch Failure / Pressure Plate / Thrust Bearing Failure is the only thing that will not allow Disengagement.

Intermittent clutch failure

Either there is low clutch fluid or air in the system. Or the clutch slave cylinder is leaking within itself.
