SEEMS LIKE THE FAN RELAY AND THE COOLANT FAN SENSOR WHICH SHOULD BE AN ELECTRICAL SWITCH THREADED INTO THE AREA OF THE THERMOSTAT HOUSING, THE FAN RELAY IS LOCATED UNDER THE HOOD IN THE FAN RELAY/FUSE PANEL BOX...ALL ITEMS ARE LISTED IN ORDER ON THE INSIDE TOP COVER OF THIS BOX.

    CHEERS!!

Opps sorry about caps....I am not yelling sometimes I find caps are easier to see especially when you have a few different reading prescriptions for your eyes.

Cooling fans won't turn on. I replaced coolent

You need a wiring diagram

That would tell you what you did,as
you know what terminals you jumped

Then you look over the rest of the circuit
to continue

Your lucky you didn't short something out

Does someone knows the # or location of radiator fan fuse of a '97 corolla?

I don't think it has one. Mine would fail due to the thermo switch in the base of the radiator. It has two heavy wires coming from it. Touch them together and see if the fan runs. If it does, replace that- if not see if it is getting power to one of the wires.(key on). If not- track the wire that does not go to the fan and see where the power should be coming from.

You might try tracing the ground wire to the fan also.

The radiator cooling fans run continuously in my 1998 Toyota Corolla. Would this be the result of a failed thermostat, fan relay or something else?

Fan switch should be located in the upper radiator tank. Two wires to it. it works off the temp of the water.

Ford Escort cooling fan not working, Wiring diagram or problem ID Please. 1998 Ford escort 1.6 petrol. Cheers

check the fuses there s also fuses in the engine bay, also check the wiring to the fan,the wires lead back to the main loom so if you are trying to trace the wire back its easier to take this out to check it but make a note of what connects to what.

Cooling fan not coming on. 1985 chevy cavalier 2.0L

I'm not familiar with your exact car but a friend of mine had a similar problem the solution was to replace the electrical relay for the cooling fan. Consult a wiring diagram to see if there is a relay (there should be) and replace it.

The other possibility off the top of my head is a short in the wiring somewhere. Power the fan directly and ensure it works fine. If the fan is OK then the problem is likely in the wiring or wire connectors somewhere. That should help narrow down the problem. Good luck!

Engine Over heating while cooling fan not responding to cooldown!

Sounds like the temp switch for the fan or the fan motor itself. To check run jumper wires from your batter directly to fan.. If it turns on, then you have a bad switch. If not , your fan motor is bad. I do not have a diagram for your car but finding wires from your fan assemble should be easy. Trace starting from fan. There should be a harness soon after the fan for you to connect jumper wires to to check fan. And by the way it does not matter witch way you hook the jumper wires up. It will only change the direction the fan motor turns. Just make sure you disconnect the harness so that you do not create a back flow of current. The reason for your coolant overflow to be getting excessive pressure is the heat in the system is causing boil over(the car is too hot).
