High reving engine

Probably a sticking throttle cable - when this occurs, look under the hood to see if the throttle lever on the throttle body is fully in the rest position.

Car starts reving high

Sounds like the throttle plate is sticking in its' opening, if it has one. Happened to me with my Grand Cherokee. If that is the case, just scrape the build up that is making the plate stick or hang up.

Also, could be IDLE control sensor go to bad, ask the parts store. Are you check any fault code there or scanned the PCM?

Keep us updated.

Car starts and reves up to 5rpm then goes to 1@half and purges rves up and down chokes out bwhen you give it gas

in order to answer this question correctly i would need to know make, model, and year. but i believe this could be the problem.
There's a solenoid called an idle air control motor or solenoid (also known as an IAC), located near the throttle body which can often stick in position if it becomes dirty internally...sometimes they have even been known to come apart due to wear. If it only does the reving when its not in gear this is a likely scenario as depending on the position it may be stuck.

My 1.0l 96 suzuki swift auto is reving high in neutral and park (about 3k rpm). In drive it is ticking over at about 2k in traffic which means im driving everywhere with my brake lights on!! It only...

sounds to me like something is definitly sticking, with the engine off, try lubrication the throttle controls, ensure that the electrical fittings are secure on the throttle body, this may also be a choke problem, best to get it looked at really, hard to say on here, good luck, be safe.

Idol runs fast after starting vehiicle

the idle air control valve is stuck,or there is a vacuum leak.check the vacuum lines, the throttle cable is not sticking and the idle control valve which is on the side of the throttle body and the throttle position sensor.check all the plugs on these for a good connection.
