Depending on the type of key you have, plain jane or the one that retracts with all the buttons, the key will run you $25-$200 plus an additional $75-$100 for programming

2005 Honda Accord key will not turn in ignition.

my guess is its a bad key, ('metal") and you dont have a spare.
really? running any car with 1 key is a for sure fail path. !!!
the car came with 2 FOBs are both bad?
are the FOBS failing or the metal key part failing
and does your car have the Immobilzer option.

the IMMO has a dash light, if glowing that means IMMO is active.

bad key , buy a new key.

I cant not get the key out of my 2005 honda accord i can even pull it out of park without pressing the button

I had this same problem but I don't have the best advice. There is a issue with the safety switch for a while I could slam it into park while turning the wheel all while twisting and jerking the key and eventually it would slide out like butter. I ended up taking it to a macanic and it cost me $150 to get fixed. Good luck and sorry for your troubles

1992 Honda Accord having problems with the shift lock. Must put key in key port by shifter to get out of park. But now, after disconnecting and reconnecting battery to change headlamp, it simply won't...

The neutral safety switch at your shift lock needs to be replaced. It is broken so the circuit loop for the starter is open. Therefore no solenoid click to engage the starter. Part is not expensive around $45, but labor may cost more. Here is how it looks: feb3fbc.jpg

Does my honda accord 2.2 diesel have a timing belt or chain its a 54 plate 78000 miles

Yes, it does have a timing belt.
Most peoplerecommend getting your water pump and timing belt every 100,000 miles, but i would take it to a mechanic and see if he believes it should be replaced. be weary though it does cost a lot, and some people will jump on this oppertunity like a shark on chum Some sites will sell 100,000 mile kits for cars. but its not a DYI job inless you know your way around a car.

2003 honda accord steering collum

No, I don't think they started lighting them in the Accord until around 2005. I had a 2004 and always had to feel around for them in the dark. If I remember correctly, they had some ridges or bumps on them to help identify them by feel.

Transmission failure 2005 Accord

Unfortunately it is a problem. A lot of times it results from not changing the fluid, but even 43K miles isn't very much. Personally I would keep the pressure on AHM to help you out with the repairs.
