This could be a fuel pump issue. Have you been running on close to empty often? When you do, the fuel pump burns out and then causes problems when you go above 20miles an hour. The symptom is that the car will just die all of a sudden.

Since you replaced the starter you had to have the battery disconnected. The throttle/idle positon sensor can loose it's mind when the battery is disconnected. This will be evident by a rough idle also. If this is the case, tap on the black plastic cover inline with the intake - it is on the firewall side so you'll have to look down along the firewall to see it. Couple of taps to free it up should do the trick.

MY 2002 cuts off when i slow down or downshift to lower gears while driving after a major head job;what could be the problem with the sensors ;I have changed the air-flow sensor but what else could cause...

Hi there, It may be the manifold air pressure sensor or idle air control sensor or you may just have a vacuum leak. you need someone to use a scantool to check all the perameters. and go from there. Regards Ben

My 2002 Camry auto window on the Drivers side dosen't work. It will raise then lower half way. Is their an adjustment to be made?

Look to see if the window rubbers are distorted. If so, you need to replace the rubbers. If not, lubricate the rubbers with pure silicone spray. The up then 1/2 way down is a safety feature, to keep the window from squeezing on someone. The speed of the motor determines the return down, as if you arm was caught in it, the motor would slow down. So, if the rubbers are distorted or dirty, thay slow down the motor proportionally.

2002 camry battery changed, dies in idle

Check the manufacture's Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) rating.  Some manufacturers recommend a minimum CCA.  If your CCA is below the manufacturer's specs, it can cause your car to run erratically.  This also can cause problems with your computer and give you faulty DTC's. (Diagnostic Trouble Codes - Service Engine Soon Light)  This especially causes problems with General Motors cars.  I'm always hearing of people with these problems.  Let me know how it works.

Starter replacement

my solution is for all cars and not specifically for a camry.

remove the positive wire of the battery.
remove all the wires attached to the starter.
take note on where you took them off.
remove all the bolts holding the starter.
remove the starter.

do the reverse on installation.
last thing to do is put back the positive wire of the battery.

tnx 4 using fixya,
