SOURCE: 2000 7.3 Liter diesel engine needing oil pan replacement

sadly I don't think there is. The oil pan is huge and sections of the frame are in the way of getting it in and out without damaging the pan severly. pulling that massive engine and replacing the pan, then putting the engine back in and reconnecting everything in 14 hours is a good estimate. sorry for the bad news

SOURCE: 1999 Ford Explorer Oil Leak

You most likely hit a curb, the pan is cast aluminum and will break like glass if you hit a curb, the pan can be changed without removing the engine, it is very time consuming, but it can be done.

Its not the oil relief valve, since it only works when pressure is to high, and even then you dont lose all pressure.. look into the camshaft synchronizer having a broken drive gear at the bottom.they tend to break..working on one now that has this problem,so I know. luck to ya!

SOURCE: knocking in the bottom of ford 5.4 liter engine

If you hear it knocking no bearing replacement is going to fix that long term. Its best to pull it, the crank shaft will have to be turned or polished and or replaced, weather its a rod or a maine, and posibly line boared if its a maine thats knocking. Do it right and pull it.

Where is oil pump located on a ford taurus 1994?

that all depends, the 3.0 liter is inside the engine oil pan, the 3.8 liter is on the outside above the oil filter in the front of the engine on the drivers side

Remove the starter, remove the flywheel dust shield, remove the motor mounts center bolt, jack the engine as far up as possiable, this will then give you access to the oil pan bolts.

1994 ford thunderbird 3.8 oil pan inframe removal

PULL IT...front support cross member blocks it. Engine is an easy pull. Having oil pressure problems? Mine first went out with oil pressure dropping at idle and red lights, speed up and it would be ok until the rod knocking. Then it was time to remove and have crank checked and polished or reground. Might as well overhaul engine at this point of it being out.

Trying to drop the oil pan out of my 1994 Ford F-150 (4.9L) to replace the gasket. Ive taken out the motor mounts and jacked the engine almost high enough to get the oil pan out and I am wondering if i...

done this on several i-6 f-150s. slide back or remove transmission, remove motor mount bolts from frame(not motor), jack motor up as far as possible without damaging egr valve or wiper motor when they hit, shim under motor mounts so that when you drop the jack the motor does not come back down any(the motor is well balanced on the mounts, it will not fall out of the truck like a v8 will), then remove the oil pan. you May have to remove the pickup tube(usually not), and you May have to rotate the crankshaft so that the lobes clear the oil pan. this is a common problem with these trucks due to the size of the oil pan(Huge), and the minimum pan to crossmember clearance
