Please make sure that you are using the proper mineral oil for this brake system. If you are using DOT 3 or 4, you are contaminating the system and WILL destroy it! That being said, the system has a little leak that is probably behind the master cylinder. i would get a good flash light and look down around the wheels and frame for anywhere it may have some oily drops. It is possible too, that it is leaking from behind the master and into the hydro boost unit. Look for trails as mush as you can. Let me know.

Proton Savvy 1.2 2008. Following a service the ABS and Brake light keep coming on? No fluid loss and brakes seem fine. Can anyone advise please?

-You're okay to drive. Just quick check if the brake fluid is full or not.
If Not then top it to full line. Even the ABS is not working, the basic
brake still work as regular car.

Good Luck

I am buying a 1986 Toyota Corolla from my landlord and the car has been sitting for 6 months. It cranks up, runs fine, just needs a new exaust. What else should I check on it before purchasing the vehicle?

Check the oil!! make sure its clean and doesnt show signs of a blown head gasket. "Milky Colored" Check the transmission fluid "Should be clearish red and smell like hydraulic fluid" Not brown and smell burnt. Glance underneath for rusted brake lines and body/frame cancer. If all looks well enjoy your new car. Hope this helps

The shifter has a shift lock solenoid that works when you apply your foot on the brake to shift out of PARK. That soenoid has gone bad. Most starter rebuilders can rebuild these

How do i bleed the brakes on my 1984 Silver Spur. on back struts

There shouldn't be any special procedures to accomplish this. There is however a special brake fluid. If you have used ANYTHING else, the system is now contaminated. This is very very bad. The system uses Castrol R363 mineral oil ONLY! If you need anything else, please feel to contact me.

No brakes 1989 silver spur. abs system

Unfortunately everything except the metal pipes.

Best bet is to buy a set of used ones off a breaker car. Buy new hoses, high pressure and low pressure ones.

You are boiling the brake fluid and hence the sinking pedal, go to silicone based synthetic fluid, it will not boil, all the old fluid must be flushed from the system before installing this fluid, this should cure your problem for good.
