When you changed the pads was one side worn more than the other? It sounds to me that you have a caliper sticking. This is not an uncommon occurance and would create the situation you are describing. Replacing the front calipers should solve the problem. Hope this helps.

m ake sure the piston in the caliper is compressing backin if resistint ,there is a clamp on the upper controle arm that over time pinches the brake line spread that out and check againe you still have the problem replace caliper

Check right side tires for proper air pressure, check front end for looseness in any of ball joints, tie rod ends etc. Also check left brake to see if working properly.

Brake chime

"Service brakes" usually comes on when the pads are getting low. You want to change the pads before you notice the brakes don't feel right. Could also be that the brake fluid is low. Definately get it checked ASAP, brakes are important and you want them in good shape. So you can stop.

1993 buick lesabre changed the front rotars and pads and now the cars brake pedal is so hard to push down to get car to stop. Mechanic has checked both the front and back brakes and they are fine. T

I would jack up a front wheel and see if pushing on the pedal with the engine running will stop the wheel from turning.
You need to know if the pressure is reaching the wheels, or if the pads and rotors are too slick to stop the car.
Usually if the pedal is hard, the booster is not working or the brakes are glazed.
Can you stop the car with the parking brake ? That only uses the rear brakes.
You may need a second opinion from a different shop.

Put new brake pads on, now brakes were smoking. Sticking caliper?

They are rather easy to replace, disconnect the brake hose, and remove the caliper as you did replacing the pads. You'll need to then bleed the caliper until clear fluid, with no air bubbles come from the bleeder screw. Check that you don't have a collapsed brake hose, not letting the fluid return to the master cylinder.

Our brakes are continuously dragging, have replaced one right side hose, new pads, new rotar, new calipers still will not decompress, what is the cause, they drag all the time, to the point they over heat...

Sounds like an ABS issue. Turn the key and check that the abs light comes on and goes off. if it doesn't then the bulb burned out. (make sure the truck has abs first!)
