While running, the alternator should be putting out 13.2 to 13.8 volts.

How do I charge my battery and shut off the alarm in my 1995 astro van?

Try turning key in door, the factory alarm will disarm when unlocked in door...that shouldn't affect the vehicle with starting if say try letting it sit on jumpers for a bit before trying to start ...make sure lights blower fan and stereos off will help a bit...(on both vehicles)...

It happened to me in my 95 chev p/u
