SOURCE: Blinking Check Engine light

This is typically a sign of a "detrimental misfire". A blinking check engine light means DON'T DRIVE ME! You may want to have your coil pack checked, plugs replaced or gapped properly, or wires replaced. Would also have to do with the camshaft sensor causing your timing to be off.

SOURCE: eng. shakes spits/sputters oil in spark plugs

I just had this fixed on my suby today. The cause is that the spark plugs, go through the valve covers on the 2.5 l .When the o rings in the cover go, the result is oil in the spark plugs. The cost of the repair in Canada was about $500 including diagnostics as well as new plugs and wires About 1.5 hours labor and new seals and gaskets. It now runs like new. This is a common problem for this subaru engine as well as for the dodge neon.

I have a 2005 dodge neon that will crank but wont start. I have replaced the cam shaft sensor, crank sensor and the coil pack. Iam also not getting spark to the coil pack. Any suggestions?

Primary voltage to several systems, including the ignition coil, dark green wire with orange tracer. That voltage comes from asd relay. There is a fuse for asd relay. To check for voltage the engine has to cranking. The control side of asd relay, the computer has to ground it before it will energize. Did you check wiring circuits for cam and crank sensor connectors before replacing sensors? Are there any applicable trouble codes?
Are you ok with testing wiring circuits?

Why is my 2005 dodge neon sxt automatic significantly jerking at 60 mph?

You have an intermittent problem, and it's probably going to be horribly difficult to track down. Your best bet might be to borrow an OBDII scan tool so you can read the codes while the problem is happening.

That mechanic who visually inspected your camshaft position sensor apparently doesn't understand that the sensor can LOOK just FINE while at the same time it's as dead as a doornail. You might try having that one sensor replaced, just to be sure.

I have 2 engine codes on my 2005 dodge neon. they are p0325 and p0340. the car has problem starting and misses badly for a while. What is the problem and how do i fix it? thanx for the help!

the p0325 code pertains to a knock censor. the p0340 is for your cam shaft sensor. i've had this problem before. try replacing the cam shaft censor first and run the codes again to see if the other still comes up. it should fix the problem. hope this helps

Code p0622 & p0344

It is probably something simple, but simple doesn't make it easy to find.
Are you now only getting the code 0344 for an intermittent CMP? If still both codes, I would recommend a Chrysler shop to run extensive tests to see how they may or may not be related. It may not be so simple OR easy to find.
If only the CMP code, can your scanner run live stream data on the sensor? Chrysler uses a DRB3 scanner in their shop to run such tests. Intermittent performance of the sensor may be a bad wire in the circuit, bad connections, possibly a problem with the pulse ring the sensor gets a signal from...
Here are a couple of answers from experts that may give you some pointers. On this first one, pay particular attention to the expert's last response or two, when he talks about the CMP: http://www.2carpros.com/questions/2003-dodge-intrepid-timing-check.
On this next one is given the factory step-by-step diagnostic procedure for the 0344 code. May give you insight on how a Chrysler shop would go about diagnosing the 0344:

Don't go nuts just yet, you are just getting started ! lol. Good luck, fella.

Neon Code P0344

I believe that the splice for the cam sensor is about 8 inches back in the harness. Power to the cam supplies several sensors. I have fixed a few that the splice was bad, There is very little room to work in to get to the splice, but it's not impossible to fix.

Runs but wont go over 2300 rpms showing code number P0344

Installing parts based on a code is not how it is done

The codes do not tell you what is wrong or what to replace

PO344-Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Intermittent

The sensor just reported a fault code, now you need a shop
with trouble charts to properly diagnose the issue

Could be mechanical

My 2005 dodge neon sxt wont start, no spark, changed cam shaft sensor, coil is good, cant find the crankshaft sensor, also wondered if it could be the timing belt, what do you think?

the crank sensor is on the back side of the engine just above the oil pan there will be two sensors there one is the crank sensor and the other is oil presser sensor. All so check the wires from the crank sensor to the cam sensor. If you think it is the timing belt pull the cover and check it. hope this helps.
