Question about 2003 Dodge Dakota Club Cab

2003 extended cab dodge dakota just makes a clicking sound when tring to start, does the same wheather it is charged or jumped, pls help

Make sure the cables on the batt r tite-its a common problem--or u may have a failed starter motor-chec connection 1st--test can be done at parts place--buy a haynes manual

Since the battery seems fine, this sounds like a starter solenoid needs replacing. Your local auto parts store will be able to get you a replacement and can give you instructions on how to replace it. The solenoid can also be tested by them. Solenoids are not that expensive.

I have a 93 dodge dakota pick up. When I turn the key I get nothing, The radio and the lights work fine. I had starter checked and the battery changed, It will run if you push it to start but not with the key.

Most likely U Joints in the front axles. These will only turn in 4 wheel drive.

Take the battery to a auto parts store and have it tested. If a cell has failed it won't charge up no matter how long it sits on a charger

any neck from 1997 to 2003 dakota will work as long as we are talking reg. cab and extended cab dakotas altho 4 door dakotas may work

How do i get to the iat sensor on a 2003 Dodge dakota 4.7L V8


The 2-wire Intake Manifold Air Temperature (IAT) sensor is installed in the intake manifold with the sensor element extending into the air stream. It sits on the left side of the engine above the Idle Air Control motor. Hope this helps.
