Question about 1998 Toyota Corolla
Never heard a soleniod, theres a few soleniods in the trany, the best way to check would be a scan tool, i know theres a warranty on the newwer toyotas for trany problems and they are covered under the federal emmisions laws for 80,000 miles and i beleive 8 years, call your local dealer and ask, also when was the last time you had your trany fluid flushed? i own toyotas i always do bg trany services every 30,000 miles all toyota i owned went over 220,000 miles with no trany problems, (knock on wood) if the check engine light is on have it scanned, and also check out bg website. hope this helps.
