My temperature guage on my 1991 toyota corolla LE keeps flickering between normal and cold. hat could be the problem

Hi there,

It could be the result of an intermittent connection on the temperature sensor.

If the connector is not fully seated, the vibrations from the engine and road could interfere with its normal functionality.

Reseat it and go from there. It may be distracting, but its much better than it jumping from normal to hot.

You need to have the dealer look at this, if you fool around with it you can void your warranty. Toyota looks for any legal excuse to void the warranty.

This might be a problem with your tempeture sending unit for the gauge the other part might be your heater core.

A froid, le moteur tourne difficillement et le regime du moteur semble etranglé (les bougies neuves), aprés une forte accélération (une fumée noire se dégage de l'echappement)...


essayez d'ajuster la barre de commande de puissance, cela ressemble à un problème de ligne de carburant, éventuellement vos injecteurs de carburant, Hope this helps!

The fuse wil be clearly marked as blower, same blower for a/c and vent. For motor, call a reputable used parts house

faulty thermostat. not closing to allowing coolant to stay in the engine till operating temperature is reached. replace thermostat.
