Question about 2006 Chevrolet Impala

1 Answer

My 2006 Chevy Impala SS gave me a blinking check engine light while I was driving. It started to feel like misfiring in the spark plugs or the timing. If it's just plugs and wires I can have that done for a decent price but if it's more than that, then I need to take it to a mechanic and I know it will cost me a bucnh.

Have the car scanned for trouble codes. Many parts stores, such as autozone and advance will do free scan.

2006 Chevy Impala, engine light is blinking and seems like no gas is getting to the engine and stalls when I'm not stepping on the gas

any time the check engine light is flashing the engine is miss firing, most likly cause is spark plug wires or colis, but also check the wiring harness from the crankshaft sensor to the ignation module they have a bad problem with coming out of the wiring lume and geting melted on the rear exhust manafold...good luck

I just had a new catalytic converter, and spark plugs/wires put on my 2002 impala v6 3.4L. I drove it about 10 miles just fine, and now when I try to accelerate the engine loses power, starts shuddering...

The blinking engine light is a definite sign that vehicle is misfiring.I would check and make sure none of the wires came loose. You can also check the plugs to make sure none were cracked during installation. If you have access to a scan tool it should tell you exactly what cylinder or cylinders are misfiring.
