If you do not find the dipstick at the front, by the radiator, pull the engine cover. Look on the right side of the trans for the tube and add fluid there.

Hello / I have a car maintenance workshop Question / How change Automatic oil gerbox Renault Megane 2005 Thank you

You need to get under the car, identify the transmission oil pan and look for the drain plug:

Locate the filler plug - it will be on the side of the transmission, higher up. Use bottles with spouts to fill with the correct amount of transmission fluid .. or .. possible .. fill with fresh transmission fluid via the transmission dipstick.

Where do i add the transmission fluid on 2004 srx v6?

There is apparently no dipstick through which to fill it. The fluid must be drained in the normal way from the plug in the bottom pan, then refilled through a plug in the side of the trans case. This fill hole is also the level indicator (fluid to reach the bottom edge).

This design upsets owners but is universal practice in manual transmissions. You can buy squeeze bottles with a long filler spout on them.

Where to add gear oil to manual 2002 kia sportage

For a manual transmission, an SAE 75W-30 transmission oil is recommended. For an automatic transmission, Dextron II E or M-III is recommended. The 2002 Kia Sportage hold 2 quarts of transmission fluid. It is recommended that these fluid levels be checked every six months and changed or refilled as needed. The fill spout should be on the left side of the engine block and the fluid will be red in color.

Trying to locate spout to add tran fluid or gear oil

  • If this is a manual transmission you will have to get underneath the car and on the transmission you will see two big plugs. This check is performed with the vehicle off.
  1. 17mm or 18mm.
  2. Top plug is the fill plug and the Bottom plug is the drain.
  3. You will need a funnel with a hose attached to it.
  4. Pull the top plug out and fill until the fluid just barely comes out and that is the proper fill.
  5. Plug the hole with the fill plug. Job complete.
  • If it's a manual it will have a dip stick or it may have a cap on top of the transmission that is commonly referred to as a "sealed transmission."
  1. Put the emergency brake on.
  2. Put the car in neutral.
  3. The check for this is a 10mm plug on the transmission. Again this has to be accessed under the car.
  4. Pull that little plug and if fluid comes out then it is full.
  5. If nothing comes out then add fluid where you removed the cap until it comes out and plug the transmission.
  6. Replace transmission refill cap.
  7. Job complete.

Adding transmission fluid

Located near the firewall at the back of the engine, passenger side. You'll need a narrow spout type funnel that will fit into the dipstick tube to fill.Oil level should be checked with transmission warmed up or it will be over full if the fluid in the trans is cold.Check the level with the engine running, park brake on and in neutral.Do not over fill or seal failure will occur!

Where do you fill the automatic transmission?

If you have a tranny dipstick, then you would need a long tranny type funnel and fill there.
If you do not have a dip stick, then you would have to raise the vehicle, and look at the tranny. There will be a higher and a lower plug on it. Remove the higher plug and stick your finger in the hole. If you feel fluid, then it is full.

Where is the transmission fluid spout

It doesn't have one it has a fill plug on the drivers side rear just above the lip of the pan. Fill it till it runs from the plug in the bottom of the pan with the engine running.

Is there another tool besides a hand pump that we can use to put transmission fluid in the fill plug?

use an old school oilcan...the type you fill with oil of your choice, and has a finger pump action (like a squirt bottle). you should be able to pick one up with a flexible spout at any reputable auto parts suppliers.
