Question about GMC Envoy

1 Answer

The AC on my 2004 GMC cools fine, but it has started putting a lot of water into the floor board areas on both front sides. I was told it may be a drain line stopped up. Where can I find this drain line?

Dirt or leaves in the evaporator & drain area
of the a/c system ducting

Have to find & clear the drain, either from under the vehicle
or taking it apart under the dash, I would guess

Front passenger side floor is soaking wet.

Sounds like the a/c drain is clogged up you need to look on the firewall near the bottom behind engine pull drain stop of and clean it out and see if that takes care of your problem .

Wet floors in my 2004 handa civic LX

AC drain pipe would be the first place to get fixed. Compressed Air into the AC drain pipe should dislodge any blockage.
If your windows fog up when the heater is on it could still be the ac drain pipe as the water sits on top of the heater and then turns to steam when you try to heat up the heating .
A heater core is an extremely expensive repair as it is labour intensive repair

Passenger side floor board is wet

This is usually an indication that the heater core is leaking. You will have to replace the heater core. This is not a fun job at all.

Fluid leaking onto the front passenger side floorboards.

2004 TB 60,000 miles. i was just told that the leaking fluid in my passenger side floorboard was do to a clogged up A/c hose. An A/C works by drying/ removing the moisture from the air inside the vehicle and cooling it. The accumulated fluid is usually evacuated under the vehicle which is what you see when people are stopped at a red light and there is dripping under their car. when a hose is blocked there is a vent that from some reason flows directly into the passenger side floor board. If you can not manually knock loose the block your probably going to have to take it to a mechanic.

2004 Hummer H2 leaking water on passenger floor

never worked on a hummer but rule of the day is that there always is a drain on the firewall on the engine side. usually a small rubber hose about two inches long direced downward. Usually you can stick your finger in there and clear it out. Don't shove anything hard into it or you can punch a hole in the evaporator core.

Your air conditioner water drain holes are blocked. Check the exit holes for water from the evaporator unit under the foot wells or dash unit. Through these holesor unblock these and the water will flow through to the outside
