Hi, the problem is you need to get your imobiliezer fob ready because the alarm will sound, the battery (negative lead only) needs to be taken off and you need to dag the lead on and off the battery a few times to reset the alarm, imobilizer, the alarm will sound and this must be done every time you disconnect the battery. this is a security item. this will work thank you. gerry

the clicking indicates that the battery is dead or flat. The only test is with a load tester. For a battery to fail quickly especially in cold weather indicates that it was on the way out.

A focus was running good, but unexpectedly power cut, and i can not to starting again. where localizate a inmobilizer system in the car. Thanks in advance.

Hi ROBERTO... what year focus ? is there a little red light blinking very fast in the center of the dash pad when you try to start the car ? If so that is a problem with ( PATS ) passive anti-theft system. that is what ford calls it ,not immobilizer .If not it's not the anti-theft. Does the engine crank over ? if so there again it's not the anti-theft system . If it cranks over I'd look for a no spark or no fuel condition , and go from there. hope this helps ! let me know if you need more advice !

Battery went low anti-theft horn came on and wont go off

Take the negative cable off of the battery, charge/replace battery, put negative cable back on, crank engine and turn off. System should be reset.

Sometimes if it set too long the gas went bad. You may have to drain the gas and the put fresh gas in.

Problem is in the {PAPS) anti-theft system.car wont start

I had the same problem - My car would not start. There is a bypass button in your car that when you press and start the car at the same time the car will start. To find this button look just above the hood release lever or in that area there is the bypass button. I finally had to remove the anti-theft system and now my car starts fine. The dealer would not replace the anti-theft, but could remove it but the cost was way to high, so I went to place were they replace car radio and other similiar services and payed around $30.00 to have it remove. They also told me that I really did not need this system on my car, because you can't start the car without the key.

Hope this help.

you need to check the drivers door lock unit. this is a more common problem where the switch fails and the anti-theft system doesn't get disarmed by the door unlocking
