PCV valve is in the valve cover with a hose connected. Pull straight out of valve cover and then remove from hose.

My 2000 lincoln i changed the pcv valve and used rvt would that cause it not to start, I am still getting fire and fuel

Take it back out,and use nothing,is the hose going to the PVC good, check the other end of hose where it clamps into, mine went bad in my 2004 Lincoln ls 3.0.The hose was 50 bucks from Ebay,it broke off where it clamped to the intake, causing engine to have no power,if you shake PVC valve and it rattles, then it's good,it's a one way valve, the rvt may have clogged the PVC UP,I use nothing.

Tip

All Ford 5.0l engines

A lot of people don't know this. On some Ford 5.0l engine there is a little filter below the positive ventilation crankcase (PVC) valve. Too many people have replaced only the PVC valve thinking the reason for oil blowing out of the valve covers, and any other gaskets or seals, will correct the problem. In reason, the PVC is one of the main areas to check and is the easiest and cheapest way to go. In all, the PVC filter is to blame. Remember preventive maintenance goes a long way have your oil changed regularly.Lee Davidian

How can I identifies the PCV valve in the motor, where is ti??? and how can I chenge it???

The pvc valve will be located on the valve cover. Or better yet will be inserted into the valve cover. Follow the hoses coming from your air cleaner ( air filter) to the one that goes to your valve cover. Your pvc valve will be at the end of the hose. pvc valve can be tested by pulling it out of the valve cover while still attached to the hose. Start the engine. Place your finger over the pvc valve and pug it with your finger. If you feel vacume then it is working properly. If no vacume is present. Replace pvc valve

2002 saturn sl1 pcv valve

The PVC valve is located in the valve cover (top "cover" of the engine, near the oil filler cap) On DOHCs, it is immediatly to the right. On SOHCs, it a few inches to the left. The PVC valve is held to the valve cover with a rubber grommet type seat.

1. Remove the hose that connectes the throttle body unit to the PVC valve.
2. Using your hands, remove the PVC valve from the rubber seat. Wiggle it back and forth, then pull it straight out.
3. You can either clean this with carb cleaner, or simply replace it with a new one (<$5 at most auto stores)
4. Put the PVC valve back into the rubber seat and replace the hose
