The regulator is not to hard to replace as getting the door panel off is the hardest part. I am assuming it is a power window and it being a Saab it will probably run around $200 for the part. being as knew as it is you will need to get it from a dealer. Hope this helps tim

The rear drivers side is stuck down and i need to pull it back up, the other windows all work? any solutions ,i already removed the door panel but can't grasp the window

Hello, If the window regulator is broken, you should be able to push the window frame up from the bottom of the door. The window motor will not stop you unless the window regulator is still good. In that case, you will need to remove the motor. Check for power at the motor terminals, you may have a bad window switch and leave the motor alone.

The bottom of the window, once loose, can be braced with wood and small "C" clamps if you just want it up until you fix it.

Driver side window will not come up. motor is working but window will not come up

the window regulator has probably broken or the gear has stripped inside the motor. pull the door trim off and see if the wire from the regulator is still conected and tight, if its loose then its probably broken and will need replacing, if it looks tight then try and pull the motor off the window reg and check the regulator drive gear. hope this helps. cheers.

The front side driver's window won't roll up.

you shoud replace the window winder motor/assembly. the cable from the motor has likely broken loose from the asembly bracket. this can sometimes be repaired, but any professional mechanic would just replace the whole assembly. fixing the assembly is somewhat of a jimmy-rig, and it doesnt always last very long.

Driver side power window stuck in down position, all other windows functioning normally. What are the possible causes, fuses? Motor? or Switch?

joe2 mercs is right, and that is the $ fix/proper fix, but first If window motor is doing nothing, stuck, ...try this....

NO COST and fast PROCEDURE TO try to FIX IT:

1. Sit in vehicle, on seat next to problematic window
2. Ignition key is on
3. Door in question is opened (in case you closed it)
4. While door is open, press and hold power window button in desired window travel, keep button pressed !!
5. SLAM hard the door closed with one hand while other hand holds button as per #4.
6. Watch window operate as it should.

7. Repeat 3-6 if necessary, but usually the first try works!

Right front passenger window will not go up on Ford Expedition 2005. Driver window OK.

Is this with both controls or just onesided? Open door panel and check for loose connections. You'll need a screw driver to check the tension on the motor,as you can adjust the armiture and may be alble to get it to work. If so you'll need to have the motor checked out for shorting. Also look for any binding of the gear assembly as for broken spacers and slides which are nylon

The driver's side rear window problems

You will need to replace the window regulator assembly. Both of the cables should be tight. When is loose its because it has broken in the regulator. The cable regulators are a poor design.
