Is the break light bulbs separate from the other tail-light bulbs

yes ..., there are 2 bulbs in the tail light assembly 1 with just 1bulb for the back-up lights and another with 2 elements 1is for your running lights and the other for the brake light if the running lights are operating and the brake lights are not then remove the taillight assembly to see if the filaments are both still connected to the other terminal or sometimes it will turn black also check your fuses if neither one works ...

How to replace a running light bulb on a 2001 gmc sierra.

Very simple. Open hood, reach down to back of light assembly. Turn light socket about 1/4 turn and pull out. Replace bulb (Autozone, Discount Auto Parts ,etc.) and replace socket. Easy!

Autozone may do this for you free when you buy the lights there.

HOw do I replace the Daytime Running Lamp on my 2006 Sierra? How do you access the bulb?

open hood. now on the top on the headlight assembly you should see two pins per light assembly. they should be locked, so just twist and then pull it straight up. once the pins are out the assemblies will pop out. Now the bottom assembly is accessable to reach the DRL lights. After replacement then reverse procedure.

How to replace parking light on gmc 2003 1500 Sierra

open the hood and reach down to where the parking lights are located and give the plug in a 1/4 turn conterclockwise and the bulb should release from the lamp case. Then just remove the bulb from the plug that you gave a 1/4 turn to...and replace bulb. Then just put the bulb back in the casing and give a 1/4 turn clockwise to tighten. NO TOOLS REQUIRED

Replace 2005 GMC Sierra Daytime Running Lights...

Open the hood, and in the top right and left corners of the primary headlamps you'll see two pins (L shaped) swing them out (towards the front of the truck) and lift out. This allows you to remove the upper headlamp assembly. You can then remove the lower assembly by pushing outwards on the plastic clip that is hooked into a metal clip. Once it's out you just turn the bulb to remove it.

It's much easier if you unhook the leads to the upper assembly's bulbes so you can set the whole thing aside.
